10th Annual Midwest Undergraduate Geography Symposium

April 23, 2016

Print Friendly, PDF & Email

Since 2005, MUGS has been hosted annually by a rotation of Geography programs in the Midwest, at which undergraduates have the opportunity to present their research at a formal Geography conference. On Sat, April 23, Macalester College will host the 10th annual Midwest Undergraduate Geography Symposium.  This affordable, one-day conference is a great opportunity for undergraduate students to present their research and meet geography majors from other schools. Students may either give a paper or poster. The registration deadline is April 1 and the cost is $10. MUGS will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 3 p.m., Saturday, April 23, in McPherson Atrium (2nd Floor) and conference rooms, Ruth Stricker Dayton Campus Center.

Macalester is excited to host this spring’s sympoisium and looks forward to welcoming keynote speaker, Caroline Faria, Assistant Professor, Department of Geography & the Environment, The University of Texas at Austin.
