The Race Ethnicity and Place (REP) VIII Conference will be held Sept. 21 – 23, 2016, at Kent State University. The program committee welcomes paper, poster and panel presentations on any theme related to race, ethnicity and place. Perspectives are welcomed from a variety of disciplines and from professionals and students involved in race/ethnicity studies. The conference fosters dialogue on a range of issues related to the racial and ethnic transformation of places. It encourages interdisciplinary perspectives, philosophical and methodological diversity, and professional and student perspectives on such issues. The conference is committed to providing high quality programs and remaining open to broad participation by theoreticians, practitioners, and students.

The conference will take place at the Kent State Hotel and Conference Center, 215 Depeyster St. in Kent, Ohio. It is organized by David Kaplan dkaplan [at] kent [dot] edu and James Tyner jtyner [at] kent [dot] edu of Kent State.
